Working from Home vs. Remotely: Why not Both?

The Choice Is Yours

Do our employees love working remotely? Absolutely! At QCerris, employees can choose when and where they work as long as they deliver great results. Some come to the office every day enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, others come on occasion especially on Barbecue Thursdays, and some work from home entirely. We are a big believer in remote and hybrid work, simultaneously striving to make our offices a peaceful and friendly base.

Biggest reasons our employees choose hybrid or remote

Location Independent

QCerris recruits people from all over the world. Employees can live their best lives wherever they call home. Gathering for team building activities several times a year brings us together.

Work-life balance

Our HR team is just as important as our tech teams. We take mental health seriously. Rules: no working overtime unless urgent, no taking work home, no disrupting private life.

Preferred work environment

From selection to senior positions, each step is tailored to specific needs. No strict hierarchies. Every employee has a coach for career trajectory guidance and a buddy system for onboarding.

Why and How Do We Work?

Working from home is slowly becoming an industry standard. The COVID-19 pandemic made companies challenge their productivity fears, accelerating workplace transformation.

Different Models of Remote Work

Fully remote

No permanent location, all employees working remotely either asynchronously or synchronously.

Hybrid

Combines office and remote work. Emphasis on flexibility, employees define their own arrangements.

Partially remote

Company clearly defines remote vs. office days. Two main variations: office first and remote first.

At QCerris, we work hybridly, allowing employees to choose if and how often they want to come to the office, or if they want to work completely remotely.

Productivity at home vs. at the office

3 main challenges and how we solve them:

Private life co-existing with professional

We make meetings short, efficient, and engaging with a clearly defined purpose. Teammates are fully present, then take a few extra minutes to share pictures of children, pets, or funny outfits.

Time management

We don't need fancy productivity tools. If you are present in meetings, finishing tasks on time, and communicating smoothly, it's completely up to you how you organize your day. Night owls and morning persons stay the way they are.

Feeling isolated

When teammates feel tired from remote work, they come to one of our offices and reconnect with the crew. QCerris covers the trip and accommodation.

To Office, or Not to Office?

The answer is simple: you choose! Hybrid work has proven the best model for QCerris employees, as everybody has the freedom to take advantage of the optimal working environment they want. Whether it is the beach, the living room, or an office — our employees are thriving, and for us, it is the only thing that counts!
